[Band] Conducting Symposium

Registration opens March 1 at 12:00am. Registration deadline for Participants is April 1 or until positions are filled. Observers may apply until April 16.

We encourage all to attend the Symphonic Band concert on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 7:30pm in Jones Hall.
Symposium Fees (includes lunch and symposium materials)
- Participant $130 (Limited to 20) - Initial Deposit $60
- ($70 additional due for those selected)
- Observer $60 (Unlimited enrollment)
- Non-Baylor Student Observer $30 (Unlimited enrollment)
NOTE: In selecting participants, priority will be given to currently employed HS/MS directors and submission order. Current undergraduate students are welcome to attend as Student Observers. Professional development credit available.

| 9:10am | Session II—Conducting Participants with the Baylor Wind Ensemble (20 conductors @ 9-minute slots, Jones Hall stage) |
| 12:30pm | Lunch (included with registration fee) - On Site |
| 1:15pm | Session III—Conducting Participants with the Baylor Symphonic Band (20 conductors @ 9-minute slots, Jones Hall stage) |
| 4:45 - 5:15pm | Session IV—Final Session / Concluding Discussion (Meadows Recital Hall) |
| 7:30pm | Attend Baylor Wind Ensemble Concert featuring guest conductor (Jones Hall) |
