Youth Programs

Songbird Kids
families with infants & children up to age 6

An independently owned and operated music education company dedicated to nurturing the ongoing development of every young child’s innate musicality using movement, music, instruments, & play.

Oso Musical
children with special needs

Oso Musical aims to create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate music education environment for children with special needs, and provide practical learning opportunities for aspiring music professionals at Baylor University. All at no cost to participants.

BU String Project
Waco-area 4th - 12th graders

A unique program that introduces low-cost group string instruction.

Piano Laboratory Program
second and third graders (ages 6-8)

Provide Baylor piano pedagogy students with teaching experiences in private and group settings. All classes and lessons are supervised by the Director of Piano Pedagogy Studies.

Central Texas Youth Wind Ensemble
High School Students

Provides an artistic experience of the highest musical caliber to high school students in the central Texas region, promotes community and builds musical connections and relationships among participants, and contributes to musical growth of participating students and their band programs.

Baylor/Waco Piano Competition
High School Students

Judged concerto and solo competition with award money.

National High School Organ Competition

Provides an opportunity for talented young organists to gain valuable performance experience and recognition.
