Hayden Johnson
- Facilities Coordinator
Hayden Johnson returns to Baylor University as the Facilities Coordinator for the School of Music. Prior to this role, Johnson served at Duke University from December 2022, initially as Assistant Director of Game Operations, Championships & Events, before advancing to Associate Director of Game Operations, Championships & Facilities. In this position, he managed game operations for Duke Softball and oversaw facilities for both softball and field hockey on East Campus. He also led the entry operations team. Notably, he played a key role in the fast-tracked construction of a new Daktronics videoboard for Duke Softball, managing the project from groundbreaking to final commission in just three months.
Hayden also served as tournament director for the 2023 NCAA Softball Durham Regional, the 2024 ACC Softball Tournament, and both the 2024 NCAA Softball Durham Regional and Super Regional. He was responsible for overseeing team coordination, facility operations, and all tournament and NCAA logistics.
Additionally, Johnson led Entry Operations for Duke Football and Men’s Basketball, ensuring the safe and efficient setup, operation, and breakdown of metal screening equipment and staffing.
Before his time at Duke, Johnson was an Event Coordinator at Washington State University, where he managed events for several sports, including volleyball, cross country, track and field, and tennis. He also oversaw security and gate operations for football games at Martin Stadium, collaborating with both campus partners and external security firms.
Prior to moving to the Palouse, Johnson served as a Facilities, Events & Construction Assistant at Texas A&M University. While in College Station, he provided oversight of facility presentation, event setup, operation, and breakdown of the Aggie's entire events calendar, as well as hiring and training a roster of 40 student workers. While contributing to the day-to-day operations and game days at Kyle Field, the fourth largest stadium in the country, Hayden was also the facility manager for Davis Diamond, one of collegiate softball's elite facilities.
A native of Port Orchard, WA, Johnson holds a master’s degree in Sport Management from Baylor University (2020) and a bachelor’s degree in Geology (2018) from Baylor.
