From the Dean

It's time to reflect on all of the Blessings we have to be thankful for in the School of Music. I am thankful for the dedication our students put forth to rise well above the normal expectations required of their degrees to bring music to the campus and well beyond. I am thankful for our staff that supports the students' work and the work of our faculty, and I'm thankful for a faculty that works tirelessly to create artistic opportunities for our students that they will remember and take with them for the rest of their lives. We have all been actively engaged in moving past the limitations of the pandemic to make music at the highest levels of quality we can create, and to do this for the benefit of the larger world. We have so needed this opportunity and, from where I sit, it has been a great joy to hear and see happen.

Enjoy the many activities documented in this edition of the School of Music Semper Pro Musica eNewsletter and thank you for your support of all that we do as 2022 comes to a close. We look forward to a new year and new opportunities to make music to the Glory of God.

Musically yours,
Gary Mortensen
