Baylor Woodwind Day is open to high school students in Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, and Bassoon who are preparing for the upcoming TMEA audition process. In addition to a masterclass on the TMEA All-State etudes, students may participate in mock auditions where they will receive written feedback from our judges. Other activities include workshops that will help them fine-tune their preparation process for auditions, and the opportunity to try instruments and other equipment from our sponsors and vendors. The day will conclude with a performance in Jones Concert Hall with the various Baylor Woodwind Studio Choirs.
Registration Period
Registration will open on October 1st and will remain open until October 31st, or until all available spots have been filled—whichever comes first.

Mock audition
We have a limited number of spots available for the mock auditions on the TMEA etudes. These will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please indicate on your registration form that you would like to be considered for the mock audition and pay the $25 fee. Selected students will be notified via email by November 4th.
Each mock audition participant will receive written feedback from our panel of judges.
Masterclass
If you would like to be considered to perform in the masterclass, please indicate that on your registration form. The audition application is linked in the registration form for your convenience. You will need to submit a 1-3 minute video of you performing the etude/s that you would like to perform in the masterclass as a part of this application.
Students who do not submit an audition application and video at the time of registration will receive the form link via email within 7 days of registration. Audition videos are due by October 31st. The selected students will be notified via email by November 4th.
Clarinet Choir & Double-Reed Choir
All clarinet, oboe and bassoon participating students are invited to play with our Clarinet and Double-Reed Choirs. The addition of a Flute Choir will be considered based on registration.
Choirs will rehearse and perform in the final concert in Jones Concert Hall at the end of day. PDF scans of the music will be sent to you via email by November 9th. Students are expected to learn their parts before arriving so you are prepared for our rehearsal and concert.
Baylor Woodwinds Day T-Shirt
All participants will receive an official Baylor Woodwind Day 2026 T-Shirt included with your registration fee.
Cancellation Policy
Students who cancel their registration by 3:00pm on Monday, November 9th, 2026, are eligible to receive a full refund of the Baylor Woodwind Day registration fee. Please send an email to beverly_shultz@baylor.edu by this deadline if you would like to cancel your registration. Students who fail to notify us via email of their intent to cancel their registration by this deadline are ineligible to receive a refund of any portion of the registration fees.
