String Chamber Music Concert

Students from the String Division of Baylor University will combine their talents to present a chamber music concert on Thursday, March 3, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Roxy Grove Hall.
Their program will feature selected movements from chamber works by Russian composers Alexander Glazunov and Alexander Borodin, Bohemian composer Antonín Dvo'?ák, Italian operatic composer Giuseppe Verdi, and German composer Johannes Brahms.
Among the pieces to be played are Glazunov’s String Quintet in A major, Op. 39, and Dvo'?ák’s String Quintet No. 2 in G major, Op. 77. Both of these compositions include a double bass in the scoring.
Also to be heard are excerpts from Borodin’s String Trio in G minor, Verdi’s String Quartet in E minor, and Brahms’s String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 51, No. 2.
