- Lecturer of Music Education
Courtney Surface is a Lecturer of Music Education at Baylor University. She brings over 20 years of experience teaching elementary music in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Throughout her career, she served as a mentor teacher at her campus, within the district, and to multiple student teachers. She was honored as Teacher of the Year and received several grants recognizing her contributions to elementary music education.
In addition to her work in public schools, Surface maintains a small private oboe studio. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Baylor University and a Master’s degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University.
