Lecturer of Vocal Studies Director of Baylor Summer Music Camps
Baritone, Jeff MacMullen, is thrilled to join the voice faculty at Baylor University as Lecturer of Voice. As a performer of both opera and musical theater, he has appeared in leading and supporting roles with companies such as Michigan Opera Theatre, Opera Columbus, Ohio Light Opera, Opera Project Columbus, Music Theatre Works Chicago, and Casa Mañana. On the concert stage, he has appeared as a soloist in settings ranging from operatic concert and oratorio, to contemporary commercial music. Most recently, he was the baritone soloist for the world premiere of Shara Nova’s Infinite Movement, an epic multi-movement musical work presented by the University of North Texas.
Prior to joining the Baylor faculty, Dr. MacMullen served on the voice faculty at the University of North Texas and Kenyon College. He received the Doctor of Musical Arts from The Ohio State University, and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Michigan State University. In addition to teaching Applied Voice and German Diction, Dr. MacMullen serves as the director of VirtuOSO, Baylor’s premier pop/a cappella/vocal jazz ensemble.
